Hestia and Sonshine - P1 and S1

I'm a little late, but here's m'boy starting Secondary School last Wednesday:

OK - so his trousers are a little long

It doesn't seem two minutes ago that he was doing this....

His first day at Primary School - 2005
And yes, I know his trousers need a hem up here too.

*wanders off to weep quietly on her bed*

  2. Oh dear, you've made me feel a bit weepy over my own 'baby' now. I tried (not entirely successfully) to tell myself it was a new stage in both our lives. I'm off to dig out some old photos and have a wallow :)

    1. It's nice to have a wallow every now and again. I found some baby clothes that I'd managed to hide from Tartarus (he threw everything out) and I enjoyed looking at and sniffing them. Weird?!

  3. Oh, so lovely. I bet you heart just throbs with motherly love.

BTW, Came across this on the web.

Tartarus is a Greek word and is used only once in the Bible, in 2 Peter

from Tartaros (the deepest abyss of Hell); ;v

    AV-cast down to hell 1; 1

    1) the name of the subterranean region, doleful and dark, regarded by the ancient Greeks as the abode of the wicked dead, where they suffer punishment for their evil deeds; it answers to Gehenna of the Jews 2) to thrust down to Tartarus, to hold captive in Tartarus

    Nice.

    1. Yes, I thought that it was the PERFECT choice for him. I'm the household goddess, he's the darkest pit of hell and Sonshine is, well, a little ray of sunshine!

    1. In the first picture I could still be persuaded to kiss his little feet when he presented them for my attention. Wild horses wouldn't get me to kiss his feet these days!

  8. The speed at which my girls started to change as soon as they went to secondary school took me by surprise. Puberty was waiting until they were in that classroom and then suddenly it was upon them.

Your term starts early. We;ve got another fortnight off yet.

    1. Our schools closed at the end of June, looby. As far as puberty is concerned, we've already got the Lynx body spray in the bathroom....and I *think* there are a couple of fine underarm hairs developing....
