Hestia loves...M&S

Continuing in the spirit of Zero Waste Week I found this info on the M&S website:

"Nothing to wear, but no room for more? Free up some space and fund next season's style. On Wednesday 8th September we're making it even easier. Bring the M&S clothes you no longer wear into participating M&S stores and you'll receive a £5 voucher* there and then."

Find a participating store**.

Not suggesting for a MOMENT that anyone would do this, but you could get a big armful of old M&S clothing and several friends and go in with a few items each and EACH come out with a £5 voucher....just sayin'....

In fact, M&S have got a whole load of environmentally friendly things happening in their corporation - including an Oxfam Exchange programme.  Here's all you have to do:
  • You'll be given a £5 voucher for every clothing donation you make to Oxfam which contains at least one item of M&S-labelled clothing, including shoes, handbags, belts, hats and scarves.
  • This offer does include donations of M&S bras, but does not include donations of the following M&S clothing: swimwear, underwear, socks, or damaged or soiled items.
  • Vouchers are subject to M&S's terms and conditions which are detailed below.
  • The voucher entitles you to £5 off your next purchase of £35 or more on clothing, home and beauty products in participating M&S stores.
This is the first time I've heard of either of these projects!  Anyone else know anything about them? Do you really get a £5 voucher?!

Want to know more?  Here's a link that takes you through to their Plan A info

If you think that these are good ideas and you run a fashion/make-up blog, would you consider including the info in your blog?  Help make the events a success AND clear out your wardrobe for AW10 incoming gorgeousness!!!
